宝石の中に虹が見られる「イリデッセンス」という現象は、光の干渉によるものです。内部にある薄層やクラックに光が反射することで屈折が変化し、それぞれの光の波長が強めあったり弱めあったりすることで虹色を見ることができます。水晶で見られるこの現象は内部に薄い層があってこそのものですので、クラックのある原石から研磨しています。その為ひび割れの一部が表面へ達している場合が多くありますのでご理解の上ご購入ください。

The phenomenon of seeing a rainbow within a gemstone, known as "iridescence," is caused by the interference of light. When light reflects off thin layers or internal fractures within the stone, it changes the refraction, resulting in certain wavelengths of light being enhanced or diminished, creating the visible rainbow effect.

In quartz, this phenomenon occurs due to the presence of thin internal layers, so the stone is polished from raw material containing natural fractures. As a result, many pieces may have cracks that reach the surface, so please understand this before making a purchase.
