A twin crystal is a natural formation in which two crystals come into contact during growth and continue to develop as a single, unified structure.

Normally, crystals grow independently. However, when two crystals form in close proximity and share a consistent crystallographic orientation, they do not repel each other. Instead, they join together and continue growing along a common axis.
