キャッツアイトパーズは、中にチューブ状のインクルージョンが多く存在するこでキャッツ効果 (シャトヤンシー効果) が見られるトパーズです。Needle in topazとも呼ばれ、強い光源の元で綺麗な光のラインが見られます。(ルースによって個体差がありますので動画もご確認ください) ライトの照射はもちろんん事、自然光でも楽しむことができます。またトパーズは水晶よりも屈折率が高く比重も大きい為、光沢が強くより艶やかです。

Cats-eye topaz is a type of topaz that displays a chatoyancy (cat’s eye effect) due to the presence of numerous tube-like inclusions within the stone. Also known as “Needle in Topaz,” it reveals a beautiful line of light when viewed under a strong light source. (As each stone is unique, please refer to the video for details.) The effect can be enjoyed not only under artificial lighting but also in natural light. Additionally, topaz has a higher refractive index and greater specific gravity than quartz, giving it a stronger luster and a more radiant, glossy appearance.
